Always on my mind and in my heart
Blessed child, you will always have a part
Cannot stop thinking about your beautiful face
Darling, no other will ever take your place
Every breath I take, I will remember you
Forgetting not, the times spent with you
Gone from this world to your home on high
Heaven is where you learned to fly
I’ll never forget our only holiday
Just looking at you took my breath away
Keep telling myself it will be okay
Loving you will show me the way
Mommy, daddy and all of us too
No matter what, will always love you
On holidays, we’ll visit the spot
Preparing ourselves to see you not
Quiet moments pass in reflection
Recalling your heavenly perfection
Salty tears run down our face
Tearing our heart from its place
Understanding is still a long time away
Visits are difficult as was the case today
With you gone, our world has changed without our say
X-rays of the reason won’t make our pain go away
Young you will always be, an angel with halo bright
Zooming across heavens playground with childish delight

This is a really lovely piece. A really great job with the restrictions that an acrostic presents. I enjoyed the rhyming and the background is beautiful.
I am sorry for your loss.

Oh, this is so beautiful!!! It grabs at the heartstrings powerfully. I am so sorry for your loss. You have written a loving poem to help you heal. Today would have been my nieces 16th birthday. She passed away at 10 while sitting at her desk in school, Oct. 31, 2002. The autopsy showed no known reason. I thank God for comforting all of us, especially her mom, dad and sister. Without Him, well..we didn't have to be without Him. God is good, and we can be with them forever when we are called home as well. Forgive me for going on and on, but this really touched my heart. Best to you in the contest, but this is bigger than the contest.

Sam
