When I close my eyes each night
And climb into my dream time
They take me far away from here
Leaving all my cares behind
This is where I go each night
To a place beyond all care
And hide until the morning light
Comes whispering through the air
So fly me higher than starry skies
Onto another plane
Where fantasy weaves such dreams
To ease away the pain
Another place where magic rules
A lifetime in an night
Where I'm safe 'til kingdom come
Inside the morning light
And though the dawn may come along
I might still recline
Among the fields spread far and wide
Inside my tiny mind
So fly me higher than starry skies
Onto another plane
Where fantasy weaves such dreams
To ease away the pain...

Good work with rhyme here.
We can all use those little escapes; indeed we need them.
Favorite line:
"And climb into my dream time"
Thanks for the entry
