Those thousands tears cried
Just brought back the heartache,
The longing pictures left behind
Did nothing for sanity’s sake.
The sorrowful days of whispered woes
Just broke out into a stale darkness,
Melodies of the years long gone
Wandering within the paths of loneliness.
Heart-wrenched sobs devour the corpse
Giving away to depressions long hidden,
Walking strips of lonesome emptiness
Within the paths of this desolate garden.
In the distance a door hides,
Once a portal to another world;
Recoiling away, hiding the pieces of shame,
Beautiful once with etchings that swirled.
Along the wooded pathways and sections
Before the outcome of beauty shown outward,
Now lies with the ruins of shattered dreams.
To forever whisper the cries of the whimpered.
Author notes
Just a slight depression... though it rhymes... something I rarely do.

I like the rhyme here. It really made this work. Excellent flow and even better word choice. Great write and good luck in my contest.

I like it, the words are so strong and since I think I can relate to it, it's so depressed. Please don't feel that depressed always remember tomorrow could be better. That's what i tell myself so I can go on with a smile. Beautiful poem and such strong and effective words. Very well written and hope you felt better after writing it.
