The candles
On the birthday cake
Of insanity
Burning,
Melting away
The slightest breath
Could lose it all,
Gone
With a stream of smoke
A candle
In the heart of humanity
Melts ever so slightly
With temptation, a child
Tries to touch it
For, it is the most
Beautiful sight
When looked at for so long.
A candle is lit
For those lost
In the war,
In the bombings,
In the accidents.
A candle is lit
For those who feel
They should recollect themselves
Within that little fire,
Through all that smoke,
The melting, too
Forget the smoke,
Remember the wax,
And most of all, light a candle.
