Deep's the breath I take
ingesting scent of pine
so fine
My feet have climbed this steep
and cleared my thoughts of sounds of man
My rest rewarded
my senses overloaded
I stand in awe
Mountain path
on high thy beauty
all duties paid
as chipmunks play
and butterflys flit flower to flower
Grand
the fall of water rushes
as it pushes its way to low
to pool
to pond and form a lake
where ducks dive the lily pads
and snow capped peaks mirror their image
Trees rooted to rock
grow flags in force of wind
deforming themselves to thrive
My head in the clouds
and my feet in the snow
I now know your beauty

I've never had the pleasure of seeing the Rockies for myself but you've painted a vivid picture with your words.
