The tears well beneath closed eyelids;
Images of how happy you look still burned in deep
The way your eyes lit up when she grabbed your hand;
The way your voice changes when you speak her name;
What's the difference between us, really?
Sure... She's beautiful
Smart and so much better than me..
But in all honesty...
I
*inhale*
Love
*exhale*
You
...more than she could ever dream of...
I saw you two again today;
the way my heart skipped a beat at the thought of you talking to me,
The way things used to be; just me and you
We could've gone to get a coffee or something..
But your pinkies were linked tight,
I swear I saw them turning purple..
What exactly do you see in her?
What's the difference between her and me?
Does she think about you day and night;
Does she cherish the moments you spend together?
When you kiss her cheek does she blush and smile?
When you hold her hand does she proudly say to all her friends..
I love this man so much
So tell me, really, honestly
What's the difference between her and me?
Because darling I can promise you I'd do anything..
anything... for you to look at me
the way she takes advantage of.
Author notes
It's not very good, but i've been there and done this feeling all too often, so.. I hope you enjoy it.

I found it very good...such an honest write...how it feels to love and be the one who is without. I wanted to walk up to the guy in your poem and slap some sense into him...LOL! He is oblivious to the beautiful truth!
Best of luck!
