Upon the moonlight mist

Wrestle me from this moonlight mist
bound beneath a gentle sky, as it
calls to me in mockery
the quiet bliss of these stars tonight;
which brandish me to world.

And I wish not now nor evermore to be
the soul who knew before
what it’s own life did not know; but
was shown to be by this serenity
the fading notes of a restive soul.

    A love wrapped in the song of a tear-stained moon... Exquisite, melancholic, and a heart-wrenching Author's Note. I know of this, it ails me everyday. You wrote an elegant piece, without using all that 'frilly poetry', and still provoke the heart to sigh. Wonderful dedication. I love this. Thank you for sharing with us. Sincerely enchanted,

    Midnight's child, and the shadow prince's lost lover,

    ~S.

  • Your vocab is very good. Nice poem. Keep up the good work!

    Made Me Think.

    This poem really made me stop and think. I really like it. Your word choice is fitting and so is your format. [:
