Family beach house, so fun, rented for the summer,
I'll never forget, don't want to leave it's a bummer.
Our whole family coming together with great fun,
all of us snorkeling and playing in the sun.
Feeling so refreshed with ocean kisses upon face,
salty summer ocean breeze's makes this a beautiful place.
Don't ever want to leave this vacation of time,
it's the best vacation ever, I'm so grateful in my prime.
Much laughter with family games and boys in town,
not so little anymore, that I slipped away in my night gown.
Gee that Johnny is the sweetest, cutest guy I've ever met,
leaning over to me that night, my first kiss I'll never forget.
It all seems like a dream, yet it truly is all real,
not over yet, I'm going to get Johnny and a kiss I'll steal.
Looking into those deep brown eyes, with his beautiful tan,
I don't feel like a girl but a woman with a young man.
Things have changed forever for me at this time in my life,
excited to live, growing up not so worried about all the strife.
School with all the social pressure of being so cool,
now that I've kissed Johnny I feel so good that girls rule.

Well, Kelle..you had me guessing as the style and words are so much like our brother Roaddog. Maybe you are taking on his style, but you have done a superb job here, taking it from a whole different angle, which makes it so attractive, cute and uniquely wonderful...A real professional write, and delightfully girlish..I love it!

A very fine writel, indeed. Imagery, rhythm, and rhyme were fine. Thanks for sharing this one with us. Again, well done. -
Sweet. I just got back from vacation too. I went to Grand Teton and to Oregon. I loved it. I spent time with eight children all from one family. I loved it. I know it's a bummer to return from vacation.
Now, who's this Johnny? Lucky, lucky, man. -
Very nicely penned leaving the reader with memories of the first summer crush. The imagery is vivid making you wish you were there on the beach enjoying the summer. Good luck in the contest.

Good to hear and see that you are learning how to live again. I know the task must have been hard with the loss of your son. He would want you to enjoy your life, I am sure. I feel the smile on your face. I feel you breathing the freshness of the air and see the wind in your hair. The rhyme and flow is great here. keep living dear friend. Your son is smiling from Heaven upon all of you. Excellent work! I wish you the best in this contest!
Much Love ♥
