the hum of the wood in these trees
is nothing compared to the ticking of the clocks
which is nothing compared to the doors i have to open
or close depending on the way the wind blows
the day to day of trying to maintain a brain
like the one i got when i was in utero and knew no better
than to accept it as a fact and not a tale i could tell
whichever way i liked when i got older and wiser
to hell with the real world
and hello again to the only world that has ever loved me back
Author notes
in utero: in uterus ... i checked it but it still comes up in spell check as wrong... errr to stupid spell check!!!
