The words stop at the tip of my tongue;
Cheeks flushed, lashes down
I try... try so hard to list the things
That make me love everything that is you

The smile on your lips;
Shows me truth... my reassurance
Show me everything I know to be real;
Gives me knowledge that everything is still okay

The sound of your voice
Soft and soothing
When you say my name after all this time
Still sends chills along my spine

The way you wrap your arms around me at night
So close I feel your breath on my neck;
Your heartbeat and you smile in your sleep
It's a wonder I ever wake up

The way your eyes melt when they meet mine;
Your beautiful blues show me heaven;
My safe place, my home
The gateway into your soul
Five;
When you try to lie about a simple surprise
The way your eyes glow
and you just can't keep it inside
[so you go ahead and tell me anyways]
Six;
The sound of you singing softly in my ear
as you hold me close and rock me back and forth
the way your skin feels next to me...
so right..
Seven;
When you wake me up before you go to work;
With a cup of tea and a cigarette
and we freeze outside; just you and me
In that perfect light of the sunrise
You lift my chin and look me dead in the eye
And ask again; exactly what do I love
I close my eyes and listen close
and answer softly
