Two Thirds

Falling in the hole of deception with eyes wide shut,
and ears only open to what is believed-
We venture into the unknown of forces not seen;
facts deliberately distorted and issues visualized
from contemporary circumstance.

Yesterday was quaint and tainted
but even today, God is still God!
The powers that be have limited persuasion.
Fear is the tool used to contain mainstream ideals
although, so few understand true ramifications.

Jesus lived; then and now.
Horus was also a deity who cannot be denied.
The Sun god shines on each and everyone,
and choice dictates conviction.
I stand on neither side, only overweening my own mind.

When Lucifer abandoned the Almighty,
and lost his place in Heaven;
his dominion was of the heavenlies and Earth was  his gift.
He is on his job, without question.
Where are we in our ability to spread love?

Subjective certainty rests in the heart.
We are what we speak.
USA is but one speck in the scheme of things
although, enormous power rests in our revenue,
and military might.

The fight between Jacob and Esau,
Issac and Ishmael,
Black and White seems endless.
But we can conquer even obvious evil
for only one third of all angels left with Satan.

There are more of us than there are of them!

Author notes

The Border is "The Eye of Ra" which took on several guises in Ancient Egypt:

"a) As the "Ouadjit" it was a form of measurement. It is comprised of six hieroglyphs, each representing a different fraction. The sum of the hieroglyphs is 63/64. The absolute is unobtainable. This concept is related in the myth of Osiris. After he is cut up into fourteen pieces by his jealous brother Set, Osiris' sister/wife Isis can only find thirteen pieces of his dismembered body. The phallus remains lost for ever. Osiris was considered to be the Absolute, the First God. He was perfection. Others can only aim for the absolute, they will never achieve it.

The ancient Egyptian Eye of Horus or wedjat ('Whole One') is a powerful symbol of protection, and is also considered to confer wisdom, health and prosperity. Horus was one of the most important Egyptian gods, a sun-god represented as a falcon or with the head of a hawk, whose right eye was the sun and whose left eye was the moon.

The wounding of the left eye served as a mythical explanation of the phases of the moon, and its magical restoration meant that the left was usually the one used as an amulet and considered to be the 'Eye of Horus'."

We are certainly being tested these days. What a gloriously inspired write. So appropriate for the world of today. Congrats on the Gold ... well deserved!

As a proud member of the 2/3, my favorite lines ...

"But we can conquer even obvious evil
for only one third of all angels left with Satan.

There are more of us than there are of them!"

    Love,

You poetry is always wonderful and it raises in this poem an old question. But I would love to add We are all differnt and thus perhaps our challenge from God is to come together because we see each other we know our own cultures and we are bred instinctually to to procreate and protect our cultures There lies the challenge can we over come our own ethnocentrism as a people and look at each other with the same eyes of love though we are different? We have made progress and we will continue to plant seeds on this slow journey until there are enough pure blossoms that God himself must smile through tears.
