RESOLUTIONS at 7:30 am
How do you give up your own heartbeat?
Your own breath?
Your own imagination?
Things that create you~
Things that make your essence~
They are never given up.
You struggle with them
And keep them alive~
They are your pulse—
With them you are living.
Resolutions must work around these facts.
Look at these facts then make your
Resolutions~
Ah me, ah me, ah me—
Then draw your own conclusions.
Leaves part and the sun
Hits my eyes
Temporally blinding me.
I look away and write a poem
With sun-spots on my eyes.
Trying to keep it simple
Life— Is difficult
I can’t—
Struggle through it
As best you can
Day to day
moment to moment
Man to man
My make-up is feminine
My desires are masculine
Week-to-weak
Embracing and feeling
My own destiny.
Month to month watching changes
Seasons come and seasons go
Summer‘s fast
Winter’s slow
Caught in time and writing rhyme.
Embracing longing—
A tango with desire
Weak afterwards
And burning in its fire
Year to year~
Minute to minute
Suspended in dreams
Caught in the mire
Of far-a-way themes
Writing my rhyme
Dwelling in time
Second to second~
Nothing makes sense
From thence to tense
Yesterday, today tomorrow—
Caught in the time that I borrow
Suspended in conflicts of my own soul~
‘Don’t think too much’
yet I remember—
your hand on my back.
‘Don’t think too much’
I feel that touch~
‘Don’t think too much’
suspended in dreams—
or is it existence?
‘Don’t think too much’
suspended in time~
Suspended in morning—
Writing down rhyme—
Seeking conclusions—
Don’t make unyielding resolutions!
Don’t draw unyielding conclusions—
Author notes
Don't think too much!
Please tell me what you think

This is amazing. The flow is wonderful. This poem makes me think of how life can be hard sometimes, but everyone has to pick themselves up and try their best to get through the day. I especially liked the ending of this. very powerful message and wonderful rhyme. Keep that pen flowing.
