Love is a mystery that I cannot define
It turns every attribute into something divine
What do I love about you? Every detail of your being
My love has transformed you into such a heavenly thing
The rhythmic thunder of your beating heart
Calming the storm that rages inside me
How tightly you hold me while we lie in your bed
Your affectionate caresses tingling gently
I love that I always learn from you
You're self-control never ceasing to amaze me
So young, yet so mature in spirit
You are ageless in a way that only I can see
I am enchanted by the way your eyes gleam
As two emeralds, yet sometimes soft azure
And your smile is like a bloom in winter's snow
Pleasurable as a breeze or the moon's soft glow
But the thing that I cherish about you most
Breathes life into all the rest
I know that you love me in return
And that is what makes you the best

this is a beautiful poem that has a divine thread which connects the whole universe of imagination within the realm of love and its beauty...starting lines are just perfect...i really liked the way this poem is written with a sweet rhythm of the soulful heart that always tries to bring the serenity into the life...i really enjoyed it...thank you so much for creating and sharing such a beautiful write...

I particularly liked the line, "My love has transformed you into such a heavenly thing." I interpreted it to mean that, because of your love, physical appearances are irrelevant. It's a sweet piece; keep it up!
