New Beginnings

NEW BEGINNINGS

 

I feel the change as summer ends,
goodbye childhood, adolescnce begins.
How I shall miss those times at play,
sweet memories made for a rainy day.

Unknown emotions and body change,
curious anticipation, feel a bit strange.
Gaze upon nature so far and wide,
so many changes taking place inside.

Last childhood summer to remember,
now a young lady this September.
Wonder as I watch the deep blue sea,
what mysteries of life await for me.

    An exceptional write portraying the changes of life for this special girl..Goodbye to the little girl, and now stepping into a world of adolesence, and all the wonder that comes with it! Rhyme, imagery and flow very good..You have encapsulated the mood of this girl in an excellent fashion!

    Good poem.

    More than good really, in fact very very good.It conjured up Enid Blyton for some reason and lost times, childhood, and such. Loss of innocence of course, not aware of the fact, because then one would not be innocent. Love it.

    This is a wonderful work penned. The rhyme wrap around and lead the reader to a lovely read. A young girl to embark on a life changing journey that never ends. Great last line-what mysteries of life await for me. The prompt and poem come together smoothly, matching mood. Good luck with the contest.
