Last rainy day

Those last drops of rain
Sparkling on leaves
Diamond-like even on my windowpane
And monsoon was over-
On that last rainy day

The autumn air was slowly brewing
On fields far away from home
Summer was way past
Decaying into wistful memories
On that last rainy day

Please tell me what you think

I love a rainy day, I find them beautiful but yours was tinged with sadness, of a beautiful kind. Best to you dear Bandit.

Liked the images these words bring to mind. Think the next downpour we will have here is snow. That time of year again. Do like autumn though, it's wonderful colors and the scents and images it brings. Hope you had a great birthday on the 4th and have many more throughout the years.

Ritz, this is as brilliant as the 'daimond like raindrops on ur windowpane'! Love it to bits...
