The Promise of Light..

Dont you hear the fairies calling?
Far away in the distant hills
Their tiny feet go dancin'
'Smile, we'll shine; you smile'
The midnight air with music fills..
'Smile, we'll shine; you smile'
That is how their song goes..
Dont you hear the pipers playing?
Listen.. they are getting closer and close..

Dont you hear the fairies laughin'?
There's nothing to fear, they seem to say
Their little smiles go twinkling..
A song in silence, they seem to sing
Happy showers on the way..
Dont you hear the cymbals ring?
Just for you they are here tonight..
Dont you see the stars all sparkling?
Shhhhh.... grieve not, for there's the promise of light..

Aaw, this was lovely and it brought a smile to my own face too beacuse it made me think of ireland; where i am from ,and though i only moved to the UK so am not very far away, there are times that I miss my home country terribly! Thank you so much for writing and sharing this with us; it is beautiful!

It made me smile, given the fact that I was a little gloomy today. Really nice.
