they found your body today
was your life that bad?
loving grandparents
raised you after your mom died
many years ago
nothing prepares one
for this young death - suicide
you are now at peace
others often think
was there something they could do
but it's too late now
Author notes
A sixteen year old committed suicide last night. I taught his mother who died of cancer just after he was born. Raised by his grandparents, I just talked to him a few days ago- he was smiling and looked happy. Last night he left and his grandparents said he was very depressed. They found him this morning.

this is so very sad. i can't believe the number of teen's who feel the need to take their own life. i understand it but so wish i could change it for them. thank you for sharing this with me today. i have so missed you while i was away. viyanna rosemarie

Suicide and depression!
Insanity of depresion can overwhelm at any time. If one's survival instincts are not strong enough it can drive one to death. I hurt for you and his family. Communication is always the best defense against this silent killer.

omgs... i DO understand this one. one of my daughters just killed herself the day b4 yesterday... i only found out yesterday. nothing anyone can say can ease the pain so thats exactly what ill say... nothing. read my latest poem and u might understand how i know this feeling so well.

this is so sad. We never know what is truly going on inside someone unless they reach out. I will remember this family in my prayers as they come to peace with such a loss.

This is so sad and heartbreaking
news. It's always so terrible to
hear a story like this especially,
when it happens to someone so young.
It leaves families lost in a world
of doubt, questions, and endless
heartache as they try to piece back
together their lives while trying
to find tranquility. There are no
reasons to be found as emotional
devastation fills the heart.
Very deep and a wonderful piece that
you have put together here. You can
only hope that it teaches families to
be more involved with one another and
that sometimes a simply conversation
and an attentive ear can change the life
