Topped it with a cherry,
then flashed my big cheese?
If I promised a thank you,
hand served on a platter.
With a sweet side of gratitude,
Would any of this matter?
At least I said please,
and am sending thanks in advance.

Excellent rhyming and smooth flow. Very clever "flashed my big cheese", Joyful tone, great use of juvenile syntax. I hope that the judge is astute enough to appreciate your excellent poem in this contest.
