A little ghostly girl stands in front of you.
So small and frail it seems untrue.
No more than the age of 4,
Her wails you can stand no more.
Crying "Where are you mummy?"
In her hands she holds a dummy.
Her mother lost in eternity,
She was in a holy fraternity.
But alas, her daughter is lost,
Their two paths never crossed.
"Come back mummy please!"
You fall to your knees.
You're crying for the poor girl.
She has eyes that light up like pearls,
You hold out your hand to her
and walk her through the silver blur.
Ahead she can see her mummy,
She clutches tighter to her dummy.
"Mummy!!" She screams.
Her smile just beams.
So happy to finally see,
Her mummy, now finally free.
Resting in peace finally together,
now she is gone like the wisp of a feather.
The last thing you remember is her face of glee,
Finally with the mother she thought never to see.
You feel to at ease knowing you helped a lost one,
Your final good deed of the day is now done.

Phenomenally Moving and Soulful!
Wow this is sooo phenomenally moving and deep, you have the reader really rooting and feeling for the poor wee lost child, and your empathy and switch of viewpoint is brilliant , mother to child and onlooker.. that is clever stuff, and the ambiance is so powerful too, great page background and the child in the picture really draws you in as does this excellent poem, well written and lovely poetic graphics and descriptives, so moving and real too. wow, well done, love it! You write with such deep feeling it is amazing! This should be in print.
Best of luck in my contest and thanks millions for entering your entry is brilliant.
Poetic Hugs & Thanks
Kaz.
