Kissing My Soul

Fumbling between the seats
feeling nothing but sticky floor and bits of popcorn
as if clumsiness was not hard enough.
As I sit, the feelings begin to hit
sweaty palms and fluttering butterflies,
the kind that make you want to vomit.
I feel his warmth next to me,
stirring an emotion that makes me weak
needing to touch his hand, to make sure this is real.
The screen flickers to life
lights go down and the movie starts
hestiation takes over, makes you wonder what happens next.
He takes my hand
in an instant, I think I might faint
not from worry, but because of the electricity in his touch.
Leaning towards me,
he takes my face into his hands
and kisses that first real kiss.
The kind that makes you weak
where you live and die all at once
to know that this is the one person you will kiss all your life.
In an instant I knew
the first kiss touched my soul
numbness gone and an eternity was shown.

A feeling I have never felt and an experence I shall never have. This is however wonderfully writen, just enough description, not cliche, not overdone, quite good actually. Thank you for entering my contest.

This gave me shivers - honestly. I wondered where you were going with the first couple of lines; I see you were setting the scene. It made me feel like a kid again with my first love. Thanks for entering.

Very relevant to me at the moment! I like the way you've written this, it's very evocative. The first few lines and the title are gorgeous too. Very sensual!
Thanks for entering my contest, and good luck!
