Dear God,

If I ever wrote a love poem to God,
it would be more of a break up,
that went something like,
"I still love you, trust me I do.
but I think we're just better off as friends.
and we need to start seeing other people."

What I feel I need to question in this relationship, is how can
there be so many groupings of faiths,
or religions as we like to call them, with
belifs streching from terroism, to jesus.
From miracles to NO God at all.
Yall we have made religion a joke.
A joke as deadly as,
"Ey, a Jew and a Muslim walk in a bar... BOOM!"
We mock these clusters of views with
ideas like, jedi knights being our saviors.
And contradiction has always been questioned with the bible.
But the only contradiction greater in our
religious world, would have to be
Jews For Jesus.
Or an atehist saying oh MY God.

See I'm still wondering who you are God.
I've known you for what seems like forever but I thinking were loosing what we had.
I mean where have you been during these times.
When I got the news about my grand mother I called,
but you went straight to voicemail.
And I got home and commented on your myspace,
but I'm yet to see a reply.
God is there someone else who has taken my spot in your heart.
Because my friends claim to have just seen you the other day,
yet I'm still waiting for you to text me back
even if just a hey, God check in on me.

Cause see, faith and belief brought me this far
and I believe that this so called greater being
wouldn't dare make me less than perfect,
cause I've been to the garden in day dreams
embeeding on my mind more than any fruit of knowledge could ever.
Adam and Eve might have messed up, but people keep tellin' me
that if God messes up, give God a second chance,
Give God a second chance?
where is Adam's second chance,
Where is Eve's second chance.
After, Holy Wars
I think we should see other people.
world wars,
Things just feel different.
Civil Wars,
It's not you, it's me.
Wars to become closer to God.
Yet I seem to be the same place I started.
After the Holocaust,
I'm dieing to see you again.
Columbine,
your driving me mad.
9/11,
God this relationship is falling apart.
Tradgety after tradgety,
Chance after chance.
Where is humanity's second chance.
And God, where is my first shot.
I mean the Jews have the Torah and Cristians have the Bible,
Muslims have Allah, Buddists have Buddah.
So what does that leave me.

If being lost in this agnostic abyss
makes me any less than pefect, let me stop this here.
But since I'm giving My God the benirit of the doubt, I'm going to have to hold on to this perfection.
And with my perfection I have endured many, many mistakes.
So God, I understand you made perfection have some kinks,
and I don't expect to live in a world where
Poets write love poems dedicated to life.
Cause life ain't exactly always the best fish in the sea.
And me writing this poem to God may not be right.
I'm just a single person, trying to find enlightment
and find a God that we cant start agreeing on.
The day we can find a God who will shake Allah's hand
and say peace be with you,
I'll write my love poem to the life God blessed me with
that very day.
And maybe we can work on fixing this relationship.
