"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled by men" Matthew 5:13
As days go on, they find
That they are becomeing bland
Not a one-of-a-kind
Just another grain of sand
They're useless, pathetic
Confused, and just frantic
Salt without a flavor,
Means nothing to savor
It's simply worthless and
Virtually nonexistent
Because salt is not bland
Therefore, it should be
Destroyed and ruined
Because it's faulty
Matthew 5:13 is my favorite verse because it reminds me that I need to be an example in the world and that if I'm not, I'm pretty much useless. It helps me focus on being a Christain not just at church and youth group, but at school and elsewhere as well. It was also the first verse I memorised for real.
