She's beginning to find that her heart
can't always make her decisions anymore.
She's so close to free falling
into the depths of the ocean.
She's standing at the waters edge
hovering between depression and destruction.
There's too much going on today
she wants to experience everything
before she turns[go-lucky]eighteen.
She's made a list you see sweetie.
But she's also got her list of secrets
that she's got hidden
in the back of her poetry notebook.
[someone told her she had too many secrets]
and maybe for the first time
she'll acknowledge that they're right.
There's only[75]
four and a half now for every year she's lived
that's only keeping four a year
[though she's only been keeping record
of them for about 6 months now]
So ask her now what she wants
to do before she hits adulthood
[she doesn't want to talk about her secrets]
the silly one was to lose her virginity
[what a mistake that one turned out to be]
that one was stolen from her
[some would say violently]
he tore about her body
and made her lose her faith in God.
She hasn't trusted anyone since.
She wanted to fall in love baby
and she did at sixteen.
He was perfect for her
and they both knew they'd always be right
someday;somehow they'd make it alright.
and when they decided today was not the day
they took their separation lightly.
And there's the next thing on the list;
to find a friend she could count on.
Someone to carry her until she carried on.
But he's worked himself into her lists of secrets
and every other list she's made.
Bad or good[it really depended on how
you chose to look at it]
[They never found a way way to make it alright]
She's at the waters edge here[and now]
not looking down; but only up.
Up to the sky where heaven lies.
Her secrets are known up there.
She won't have to hide.
She could've missed the pain
[but she didn't want to miss the dance]

I am doing amazing loving school and Mankato in general!! Ive been reading the we were soliders book and absouletly loving it!!!! Next time I am in the cities no questions asked we need to get together!!!
