Young hearts learning blind indeed,
receives their first kiss just learning you see.
Often miss understood and love takes hold,
never listening to others that tells you no.
Hearts tied with pretty ribbons and young men in the lead ,
she gives her life her heart and soul for one kiss so free.
Falling in love yet unsure what love is,
her mind and body she so gives as a gift.
In the honesty and fragile ways of the young,
they hear not of the songs of those that had gone wrong.
Unknowing of the lies told for the young men self gain,
takes the child and breaks her the vision of love each day.
Tears fall where hearts are broken a child no more,
instead of love they feel in there hearts a slamming of the door.
They hold on to what they felt was true and pure,
thinking they will return for sure.
Life once you give yourself to another the child is gone,
now living in such a cruel world with songs unsung.
The hardest lessons to learn yet we feel so sure,
the one we fell in love with is forever more.

Reas you are growing up stay friends and enjoy but give youself to no one for to do so will leave you just an experiece for thos others just learning and in this the whole school knows believe me you dont want to be that girl. Hold your body as a temple and know the heart break and tears are hard enough for adults to handle must less the young with no experience at all and lies are like water they will say anything to get to you body and soul.

You always put so much truth and good advice into your poetry. I enjoy reading it. There were times when I should have kept myself farther away from some people but it's in the past now and there's not much I can do. Thanks for sharing this.

Yes, the young do have much to learn and even we do us older ones!
Love is not something one can explain or teach, but has to let come from their inner soul, their heart. Love must be felt and then it may not be true. So difficult to find an honest and true love, and if one does it should be cherished and kept close to the heart.
