Lost Warmth

June had a heart
I know!

I felt it once,
beating against mine.

In nights desperation
we shared our loneliness.

Aww...this is so cool! It's so short and awkward-good...(awkward-good= how I would describe one of those cool, weird indie movies with the eccentric but quirky characters...like "Juno" or a sundance thing.) In just a few lines you summed up a relationship and conjured a picture (at least for me) of two people sharing a dual bond of love and loneliness... I got this like mind picture of like, sitting across a table all quiet and mutually off-beat but at the same time comfortable from that deep understanding of the other...the shared bond of loneliness. And even though this is under the "bad love" category, it's not mean or bitter, but honest, fond, and wistful. I love it. Excellent work, best of luck in the contest! --Shannon

Very sad. But at least two shattered hearts could find themselves brought together.
