So silenty
you stand there watching the bus pull away,
so silently
you stand and watch the fumes fade away.
It's so unreal and never ending,
you're on the edge of the street pretending.
it's not true, she's not gone, and she has to come back,
but deep down you know, it's not as simple as that.
So silently
you sit, the roar of the world in your ears.
So silently
you rock back and forth hiding tears.
It's not fair, it's not right
look how long you had fight.
You hear her calling from a distance,
you always wanted to try and miss this.
So silently
you smell that sweet perfume once more,
so silently,
you hear her footsteps through the corridor.
It seems so silently as the wind takes
her last words as your heart breaks.
As the day gets on you stand by the quay,
so silently you wish she'd never gone away.
