Hush...

Missing image
Dusk doth come and all is still,
As daylight turns to night.
Voices stolen, silence reigns,
Can’t cry, can’t scream, take flight.
The Gentlemen have come to town,
They float above the ground.
With evil grins and pallid skins,
They hunt without a sound.

Knocking doors and stalking prey,
Such wickedness and fear.
Cut out hearts of those alone,
In terror’s silent tears.
Evil minions act as brawn,
For Gentlemen’s dark deeds.
Hold the victim’s speechless death,
Fore seven hearts they need.

Such pride they hold in victim’s fear,
Such pride in silent death.
Plucking hearts of innocence,
With fearful final breath.
To break the spell of soundless curse,
So ends prophetic dreams.
Destroy the box of voices stole,
And so the Slayer screams…

God rest ye merry Gentlemen…

    Congratulations on the silver!

This is a deliciously dark homage to Buffy the Vampire Slayer! I remember that episode! The Gentleman went after Tara and Willow. They were very creepy with those "pallid skins" and "evil grins." My wife and I watched every episode of Buffy a couple of times.

    Very Ominus

This is really dark and forboding. Sounds like a party of demons hunting devowering emotion like emotional vampiers they feed untill they are full and the one's emotional energy they feed on lay spent and wasted on the floor. Great Write
