You show your colors,
proud peacock strutting,
with your list of
would be fulfillment's and
expectations for a bright future.
You will praise and excitement from me
for your new life on another plane of existence,
quarantined from everyone who cares.
And what can I really do,
but smile and hand you
hard-boiled bleached evasion
on a lukewarm platter.
A little white lie.

Lovely poem, it holds a nice flow to it. Rayne emailed me about yours, she had been gone from the site for a while before this due to family issues and she said that she just about cried when she read this, she thanks you for entering with one of her poems. We both thank you for entering.
