My Prince has come
to rescue me.
He's handsome,
he's charming,
he's everything
he should be.
We walk together,
we talk together,
then right before
we say good-bye,
he holds me tight
in his arms, and then...
I wake up.
Someone should sue
Disney for making
every girl think they
have a Prince Charming.
Fairytales don't come true,
and happily ever afters are
just unfinished stories.
We search all out lives
for true love,
just to have it end,
and all we get in return
are memories and broken hearts.
Life is one big
happily never after.
Author notes
basically saying there are never 100% happily ever afters.

this is so true, but then where would we be without hopes of a happily ever after? It's a shame it doesn't exist, and never can exist.
thanks for entering

loved it!

cute! it's true that we grow up with unrealistic ideas of love, and Disney does play a part in that, but the fact is that if those themes weren't so pervasive in our culture, Disney would be bankrupt.

Interesting write
Oh love is not something just given its something one must work at every day to see it grow .So many feel once they have it they will have it forever no matter what .So wrong this is for if you dont show respect and help one another nothing lasts even friendships

-
I love this and totally true! you so deserved honourable winner!!
Life has no fairytales, only in our dreams and someone should indeed sue Walt Disney for his false belief in Happily Ever Afters thru fairy tales

-

Nice! I like the tone of this poem and how it changes at midway, from all sweet and happy to real and truthful. Thanks for sharing this, and all the best in the contest!
Luck. -
yes, i agree with you 100% there is no such thing as a cinderella story... besides, the true story of cinderella is that she never loved her prince. i have a made a column about it. cinderella was based off of a real person, and the ending i encluded was what really happened. good job!
Someone should sue
Disney for making
every girl think they
have a Prince Charming
this part made me laugh. i agree with this as well.
