Movies sit unfinished,
Stories have no end,
Poems left unwritten,
And distant’s every friend.
The camera joins with dust,
Archives moss in time,
Ink fades into shadow,
And poems cease to rhyme.
A friendship lay in tatters,
A deep love starts to break,
But the story lays unfinished,
No words are left to make.
What is the word I’m looking for?
Where did the words all go?
Where is this “inspiration?”
The thing I used to know.
It’s gone and left me all alone,
No stories left to write,
And though I try my hardest,
No poems left in sight.
The movies lay half-finished,
Abruptly many end,
Only two remain now,
That I am free to send.
Where is the word I’m looking for?
That word I used to know,
Where is this “inspiration”,
Wherever did it go?
I look but do not see,
When I used to see it all,
My memories are fading,
When once I could recall.
I see your face,
But not your name,
I feel your touch,
It’s not the same
You’ve changed so drastically,
I fear that I have too,
But I think that I’m still me,
What do you think of you?
You were the one I’m looking for,
The word I cannot find,
The person who invaded,
And stuck to my young mind.
You were the word I’m looking for,
The word I used to know,
You were this “inspiration”,
Wherever did you go?
You’ve left me unattended,
Alone in my own place,
I no longer feel that feeling,
When I would see your face.
My poems are unwritten,
The movies have no end,
The stories still need writing,
This boy still needs his friend.
He needs his inspiration,
But inspiration’s end,
Has met with his creations,
And become his only friend.
Please tell me what you think

Bruilliant!
Brilliant, and, this summed it all up perfectly for me :
"What is the word I’m looking for?
Where did the words all go?
Where is this “inspiration?”
The thing I used to know."
