In the sunlight of darkness,
The rays are absent light;
A world of silhouettes and shadows,
Blackness is quite the sight.
It is in the infinitive absence
Of primary hues and color;
That the only light present,
Is what we see in each other.
Dependent on those around us,
To show us the light of day;
When we can look in ourselves,
And find our own better way.
Doubtful of the light,
Each of us carries inside;
We cower in the darkness,
Searching for places to hide.
Author notes
A poem about hidden, neglected potential (the light) that we all possess within. The question is if you use it or not..

Wow, I really like the creativeness in this piece, and a great message. Perfectly written as usual. I enjoy reading your writes. Thank you for sharing.

Good metaphor I should say. I love it.

woah, i like this one. the thought of social need. and that we all have goodness and beauty inside us, no matter how deep..... and that all we really have in the world is each other. not money, not material goods. all we really have is each other.
i think it has a severly strong message, without being too angry. i like it.
Silvo. i'd like to say your work is good... but that would be the understatement of the century! (then again... this century just started, but... well last century too!)

Amazing
This is a wonderful piece that really explains the way we look at light and darkness in a different way.
"Doubtful of the light,
Each of us carries inside;
We cower in the darkness,
Searching for places to hide."
I loved this part because I really can relate to it!
Again a great write
very motivational and absolutly inspiring

Motivational indeed!
Written very well through a powerful and moving metaphor. Nicely rhymed with descriptions which flow in a steady manner. Great awesome job!!
