Doors on every wall stretch in every direction
Leading to passages…
A rabbit warren between sleepy and wakefulness.
I scurry away from a woman who beckons
Towards a door ajar with light
So bright and pure and beautiful that it attracts me,
Surrounds me as I wander down
It’s corridor.
I forget what was said… but something,
Soothing words: Reassurance lies
On the other side of the door.
Here, now, three men rise up ahead of me.
They block my path, unthreatening but firm.
I must turn back. There is no place for me here.
Wings arch even to the tunnel’s roof
I have no thoroughfare,
Just an encouraging voice calling me:
Go home.
I run, child that I am
Back down the tunnel from whence
I came, pushing a way through the door
With the flat of my hand. I love the
Love in the tunnel, such light!
But there are love and lights here
And I guess I’m one of them.
A sentinel stands guard one side of that door
Flames rush down her back, face unreadable.
I wonder what it is she guards: the door or me?
Rumples in the sheets break meditation.
I swim in and out of that place, flashes of it
Fluttering eyelids, unwilling eyes.
What was it I saw? What happened?
And why?

This is a really interesting dream I enjoyed reading it. I always seem to forget my dreams when I wake up but I know that they are always odd.

In this line:
"It’s corridor."
It's supposed to be "its" and not "it's".
I like the confusion you so easily portray in the poem, which I think is the best part of the poem. Some of the sentences seemed a bit messy, but I guess you have a system. Other than that, your piece is very well written. -
Yup
This happens to me, i have a dream that is weird or meaningful, but when you wake up...you can't remember it, or only little flashbacks of it, ad drives you nuts. I loved this.
