I am tender
traced and gentle
beyond the corners of tomorrow
and my heart aches to think
my touch is missed
and
also blessed
that it might be so.
Quivers in the night
reach for empty hands,
yet
only empty space is found
cornered and tangled
in the dream web of
rusted thoughts
and the coax
of morning hope.
Hope that I might
find you there,
tear streaked in lonesome need
for the embrace that builds
my heart with stately resin.
How I miss such thoughtful nights
traced and gentle
beyond the corners of tomorrow
where
I am tender.

I believe that Tony has chosen his gold winner very well indeed!
This is wonderful poetry. It seems to me that the essence of your poem is captured largely in these two stanzas particularly.
'and my heart aches to think
my touch is missed
and
also blessed
that it might be so.'
'tear streaked in lonesome need
for the embrace that builds
my heart with stately resin.'
They say so much and '... stately resin'... fantastic!!!
Well deserved congratulations to you, I'm most impressed.
I often feel tender too... and you have caught both the ache and bliss.

Back when John and Abigail Adams wrote eachother, they wrote most lovingly using the word "tender" in reference to their heart or their affection. Very nice word. I wish sometimes some of the more archaic words and phrasing would reappear into the current vernacular.
The new words that have replaced them don't seem to be quite as expressive.
I hear the love, yearning, and angst in every line of this wonderful poem Pam. Good job.

This makes the heart ache with the softness of the words in relation to the corners of tomorrow. Such sad longing and emptiness, may you never feel this lonely. Beautiful words and emotions flowing throughout, I like the way you brought the leading lines back around, ending with vulnerability.
