Thinking of the summertime
And all the fun we had.
I really started to see,
Just how close we became.
But now that summer is done
And I am off at school.
The only thoughts I have at night
Are those left of you.
Yes we had the best time,
And that makes me happy.
But now that we can not have time,
Really makes me lonely.
I miss you with all my heart,
And my thoughts are about you.
So make a promise that our friendship
Will never willow or fail.
But only become stronger
With the distance that we share.

I wrote this poem to express how I feel now that I am at college and my closest friend is still home.
