I watched you grow
from infancy
and it wasn't hard
for me to see
from the very first day
and all the years through
the inner and outer
beauty that lies in you
So I had to ask
Why Lord, why her
at the age of twenty-seven
an aggressive form of cancer
she just had a baby
who's now five months old
why allow this Lord
what is the message you wish told
Baby girl, I thought long and hard
on the Lord's reply
and it saddens me so
it brings tears to my eyes
I don't like His answer
and although it feels a bit uncouth
I have to face reality
and accept it for what it is... the truth
Honey, the Lord has the power
to interfere
but when He has tried to get your attention
you refuse to hear
It is now that you are scared
that you remember your roots and beliefs
and call upon God
for much needed strength, healing and relief
Prayers are going out
all over the world
now it's up to you to rebuke satan
let your love for the Lord be unfurled
This is not the time
to be sitting on the fence
exercising your right to be stubborn
or flat out acting dense
As your mother
I plead with you today
get down on your knees
proclaim your love for the Lord and pray

My daughter will undergo major surgery for cancer on Sept. 8th... prayers are welcomed... thank you in advance for all prayers!
