Rainy Day Heart (grieving heart)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Flooding tears in hot embrace,
Do scald thy heart, n'er to erase.
The dreams and hopes found in thee,
Now linger forever in eternity.

Besieged thy love, ripped away,
Torn from thee, oh rainy day.
Most grievously pained, tormented soul,
Has cast thy lot, stripped thee whole.

No longer thine, for thou hast earned,
Angel wings..., mortal life spurned.
Pray thee tell me, what thou'st impart,
For so great the loss, impaled thine heart.

Rain falls in torrents, thy mother's eyes,
Clouded horizon lifts not, to despise,..
This day to rue, oh blackened skies,
Commence this heartache, mournful cries.

How great the anguish, n'er to escape,
Yet, thine love like a blanket, o'er thee to drape.
Hath Heav'n a bounty of angel souls?
Leave then but one heart, a rainy day consoles.

Author notes

"Unexpected Death"
A poem dedicated to a friend, who's daughter was murdered. I feel this is my very best write, as it has such core gut feelings and emotions. This was written under the actual strain of the moment, seeing a friend go through the awful turmoil of a child (although an adult)murdered, and so helpless to do anything at all!!It was written by a maternal instinct that reaches to the depths of the soul!

    You are very right this is an excellent write. You get across a lot of deep emotions in this one. Your pictures also bring a lot to the write. And you ask a lot of questions that a person in grief would. Thanks for sharing this wonderful write with us and thanks for entering it into my contest.
