each week evil takes another form,
some battle to be won by Buffy and her clan.
Between the clashes, personalities of allies show their human side,
as in the episode of "Phases,"
where Willow, the burgeoning witch with computer hacker skills,
fret that Oz will never truly reach for romance's wreath.
Meanwhile, the one she longed for, Xander,
rambles over her to his love interest Cordelia even on lover's lane.
It is where passion's spell is violated by a werewolf
and off again they all go into the realm
of quest to end the supernatural again.
In between banters on men by Cordelia and Willow,
the pursuit of the werewolf follows a twisted trail,
between dead bodies and possible suspects.
Along the way, Oz, is unveiled of his real identity,
the lycanthropy creature underneath is shown before the viewers,
becoming backdrop to Willow's visit to his house,
where she leaves in terror
when he transforms before he could complete his restraints.
It all ends in forest clearing, with Buffy and Giles present,
but Willow firing the tranquilizer gun to sequester Oz in his mutated form.
Next day at school, Cupid dominates once,
as Oz and Willow share their first kiss,
werewolf and witch to be finding love
between classes and whatever waits in the shadows.
