Change Is Good

the winds blew still
throughout the land
I walk away and know
it leads to better days

All my troubles are behind me
for the past four years are gone,
I have a fresh start
to make for myself.

It is so good to have coffee
with my desired fragrance and beans.
It is so good to have a shower in my hour
with no one to tango over soap or hot water.

Amazing how such minute changes makes a world
so much more simpler, without yelling,  per day
in the family I left behind due to no structure.

in their choice of deficient existence.

Life is as free as kite is to be flown  full

of  illusion with spirit soaring high in imagination.

Today, I rise my eyes to see the balloons fly

near, so I may count the colors before they sail

to another planet or far off into another sea.

Sometimes, when we leave an address we thought

was home, we find a new place more suitable to our

needs and soon our personality is full-filled by other

friends and other tasks, and as I look back at the that former

life asking how did I ever survive there so miserably.

just reflecting and old love that is no more

can you relate?

Can definitely relate, my mum hungers for change, she regularly changes our homes, our location, everything but the man she takes with her - which is, ironically, the source of the problems shes trying to move from. I enjoyed your optimism, perhaps change does lead to good things. Thank you for sharing!

    OMG!

I love the amount of feelings you put in this poem! You also put some really pretty images in it. I can somehow relate to what you feel because I tried living away of my family for sometime. Although, I missed them but I found out that some places are just more suitable for us than home.
    Thanks for sharing

This is a great description of the process of leaving and becoming... with now, no regrets, merely a wondering at how you could have stayed in that previous stage so long... the new life seems to fit much better, but who knows, more changes may be coming! A fine read.
