I walk along a cobbled path
Kissed by golden rays
A gentle rain caresses me
A rainbow now displays
I find myself mesmerised
As colours pass me by
My pace accelerated now
As I look to the sky
What will I find? Will it be gold?
I start to pick up speed
I am out of breath, but I am close
I'm driven on by greed
I need to know, what others don't
I need to find the end
I need to taste the rainbows truth
And share it with a friend
And then, without a warning
As if tickled by the air
The colours of the rainbow
All around me...Everywhere
Adrenalin is pumping
I'm here.... It's all around
It is silent, but I hear it
The colours have a sound
I walk towards the darkness
As that is where I will find
What I have been searching for
What the rainbow left behind
And there I found my answer
That so many wished to know
I found the gold I was looking for
at the end of my rainbow
Not as I imagined
No pot of gold to see
Just a ray of sunlight'
Beaming down for me
I reach out just to touch it
This single ray of light
It fills me with emotion
And gives answers to my plight
I saw a glimpse of heaven
I saw who waits for me
I'm rest assured forever
To find tranquillity
