What Is It That Touches You?

I started writing these words and felt a little disturbed.
I felt that it wouldn’t be me telling you what I see,
when I take a quick peek in your eyes.
Behind that disguise you try to ware.
The one that cares, but don’t care.
But, I know you’re really scared.
I’m aware of this. I almost missed it at first,
‘cus my thirst was based on something far worse and more fake.
It was purely for the sake of sex and that really didn’t impress me much.
See.., ‘cus such a person no longer exist.
I went and got my-self fixed.
I found a way to get rid of that silly shit
I used to think would get me straight.
I hated that person, so I went searching for
something more worthy then the old me seemed to be.
And found my-self a small slice of peace.
And the pain, somewhat, came to a cease for the time being.
I really appreciate it.
I needed to alleviate it.
Some where down the line, love, I deviated from the plan
and found my-self standing on the edge ready to leap off the deep end.
Lately though, I’ve been thinking more about you
and what you’ve been going through, to try and understand
and help you if I can.
Being that I’m only a man, plain and simple,
I can only give you what I see based on a point of view from me.
Hopefully I won’t offend, only lend you words of encouragement
to go along with whatever you’ve been working with.
So here I go….
I don’t know, totally, what you’re looking for.
Nor do I fully grasp what you want from me, or want for us.
I trust that its o.k.,
but, I really can’t say in what kind of way,
where you want to be day by day, week by week, and month by month.
So I can’t offer you much, but I want to talk to you about touch.
Tell you what I mean by it and hopefully by trying to describe it you’ll find it somewhat useful to you.
And I hope you do.

This is what I mean by touch. What makes you blush?
What person can say the words that,
cut through that veil of despair you ware so much?
What person is good at stealing away
that dead feeling you get when the going get too rough to go through?
What is it that touches you?
What person brushes your skin without ever extending his hand?
Who can lay you down in deep sleep just from the words he speaks?
What person meets you physical, mental and spiritual needs?
Which one, to you, is more complete?
What touches you?
Who is it that, no matter what you do, you know that he’s the one you can come running to?
When he undresses you with his eyes, still he tries to keep his mind on cleaner thing like, “I’m sorry, what is it that you need?”
Who is he and where is he?
What is it that touches you?
What I see is a lady who may still be a little baby looking for a shoulder to cry on.
Someone capable and strong, able to create a song in your heart, and touch that part of you that need his arms to be firm in its embrace.
The one who knows what it is that touches you.
