I've reflected often,
long and hard,
about my life.
No insight there
that I might share,
I do not dare
to offer advice.
Perhaps I should discard
the pose of wise old sage;
after all, my friend,
life is not a stage,
nor I an actor.
The years do not confer
grace or dignity,
and as for wisdom,
well, you see,
age is not a factor.
