Penny For Your Thoughts

Sand lines across time,
that can't be erased,
ever strong the hold,
vexed not by wind; you stay,
everlasting Friend; you are to me.

Cafe express a time or two,
a nice warm chat for me and you,
watching steam rise from cups
like whispers of old; as memories
like old stories take hold.

This a peace to turbulent times can heal,
renew friendships bloom; attracts appeal.

nothing like a cup of coffee with an old friend
catching up. This piece has such a casual flow to it.
Comforting, like that favourite sweater you love to throw on when you get home. I like it.

    Ah...

Thanks for this! This scene you painted for me was so warm & healing. It was like I was there experiencing it in the flesh! Oh...how I would that I could have this kind of encounter. I love coffee & a with a close friend 'getting caught up', sharing & comforting is just what we all need to heal as fellows in this journey! This was a wonderful 'coffee' break for me. I love the flow of this & from start to finish it leaves one with a peaceful feeling!

    excellent~

This is an excellent poem about everlasting friends....
I would hate to know that I didn't have one single friend in the friend..that would be horrible to go through...no one to tell your good news or your bad...not even out for a cup of coffee at the cafe or for me it would be a soft drink I drink coffee about once a year...then it's laden with about six sugars...my dad used to tease me and tell me I should of just drank the sugar instead of the coffee...
    Great write and thoughts....
    Hugs
    Susan~~~
