A peculiar chime from the happiness-thief
Cast a shade of darkness deep,
Loomed unto the medusa face
Like a masquerade mask.
It engaged itself to lonesome senses,
Exuded into mighty conquered eyes,
Shaken off of their spade-like power,
They shed a ministry of burnished beads.
Flocking frustration empowered and aroused
Blossoming vibrations of flaming sensations.
And questions uneven throbbed incessantly
Like chickenpox blotches on a troubled face.
Rippling strings of age kissed the fretful figure,
And the night, forgetting its bright youth,
Embossed upon the sombre skin
Frescos of permanent slurs
Where till the end of the agonized time,
The weeping symphony engorged the tired soul.
