Laying on the park bench
torn up shoes
dirt on his face
shattered teeth
closing his eyes
remembering
the days of his youth
school houses
Betty Joe
and Susy Lue
jump ropes and ice cream trucks
running through the meadows..
skipping rocks on the waters
"Get a job!"
awakens his fantasy.
He roles over
his heart is again warmed
in his dreams
remembering his youth
