The Spirit Within

Blessed in His image from creation,
spirit within lies in wait.
Force like no other, new sensation,
bestowed by one so great.

Hardship rush in on crashing waves,
undertoe sweeps you under.
Holy Spirit within, reaches, saves,
soul that is assunder.

Through birth the Lord has given me,
all His stregnth to call upon.
When life turns bleak I turn to Thee,
darkness and pain are gone.

God's grace is enough to sustain,
how my heart overflows.
From birth to death His love remains,
reap the rewards He sows.

    Thank you

for this lovely and inspiring entry. I'll be back later to comment in greater deapth. Be blessed. Frans

    Ps
I have returned as promised. I have again read this lovely meaningful poem, and could journey its worded path in this early hours of the morning. I could not help thinking of the person who wrote this, but I know for sure, none can write these words, if not felt and 'know' them in his/her heart. I enjoyed its quite learning, and am blessed by its message. Try as I might, I am not good at rhyme. I do enjoy reading rhyme, and it sort of feels 'right' when I do, but perhaps practice will make perfect. I enjoyed the unforced flow of this rhyme, as well as its soft touch. Once again, thank you for your entry. I now return my blessing to you. Frans
