To sing you a song in Italian, French, German, or English,
Is something I have been doing since I was 12.
I am now 42.
I have stood in front of an audience
And had them scream for me,
While the adrenalin runs down my sleeve.
There is no greater high. Ah, but yet I lie.
I am a writer of songs.
I have written a full musical.
I have heard other people sings my songs
The words and melody.
There is no greater rush, than to teach someone
Your work. Have them learn it. And perform it.
Nothing feels better than the chill
That runs up your spine having your stuff performed,
Or that sweet feeling of performing.

You conveyed through this write your love of words and a talent for using them. Your performances give you and opportunity to reach many, and to touch hearts and minds. Be it forever or for moments only, make the memory that will exist of you one you are proud of.
Congratulations! -
Congratulations on realizing achievements many only imagine! You have an obvious gift for languages, and another for writing both music and words that can inspire an audience. Also an appreciation for your performers that is based in personal experience and love of the performace. Quite a resume!

Reading this has made me all the more curious to know who you are, and if I have possibly ever heard of you

Ah, but to be a performer; I too am a musician, having just finished a degree in it, and yet to walk out on stage for a solo performance chills my blood and sets my nerves on fire so bravo to you for being able to do this.

Thank you for entering this in my contest, I will comment on each poem at judging.

You are amazingly talented. I cannot relate to your feelings of performing or having other perform your works, but there is an ingling. I am rather shy and steer away from the crowds. I am so empathetic that I feel everyone and too many people, means overload. Don't get me wrong, I so adore the various personalities and my thrill, I guess...is to fill their need. I can see it, flowing about them, reaching out for a kind word. I guess that is my talent. But to be like you, free and sure of yourself enough to stand before volumes of people and show your underbelly...your work, your self. I am simply amazed to know someone like that.
BLESSINGS & LOVE,
Doris
