Winter cold, a silent danger,
fall showed up in violent anger
a uniform red, yellow and amber
Aware of the freezing ranger.
Honor to the season’s vow,
fall surrendered with a bow.
Passed the crown and allow
the first drop of snow to fall down.
Once they were at their best,
painting the heaven’s crest.

Congratulations on the trophy, and on this fine poem showing the battle fought by autumn, never won.

Dit is goed
om nog 'n Suid Afrikaner te ontmoet. I enjoyed this poem. The content flows under the title of this poem. The reference to reality and to nature is most enjoyable. Sterkte met die skryf. Frans

The battle between the seasons? An interesting view of the "changing of the guard". I enjoyed your description of fall, in it's uniform of red, yellow and amber.
