all that my eyes can see
are tears of pain surrounding me
while i long for the chance to be free
i drown in the screams of my own enemy
the world seems so large and hating
i just want a chance to be creating
a life of peace and relating
to these people that leave me waiting
i struggle to advance
just give me ONE chance...
i cry as i give one last glance
to those who left me in this trance

I like this
I love the rhyming you put in here. It is very well written. I probably would've had a hard time finding words to rhyme with "advance". Good Luck!
