I watch as she runs and laughs
Long hair blowing carelessly in the wind
Her eyes glint with mischief
Full perfect lips curl into a smile
She doesn't know I watch her
This beautiful girl I call daughter
Wishing only that we had more time
Time to know the woman she is becoming
She follows me in so many ways
My pride for her achievements glowing
If only she knew how I love her
How I burst inside at mention of her
I see the darkness lingering there
Behind that perfect smile
Those oceanic eyes
I wish I could take the pain
I see the doubt she hides so skillfully
If only she could see herself as I do
She would know the truth
This beautiful girl
Glowing and so full of life
So perfect and wonderful
So talented and deep
This beautiful girl that I call daughter

Awe. This is a lovely dedication to your daughter. This reminds me of my mother when I was a teen. She tried so hard.
