The Dragon's Hiss

Fall forth in darkly hushing sounds of night
On wings of dragons threshing, howling winds,
A scream unearthly cries, unheard in fright
The cursing moan, of those who tread out late.
Far from affront is rage unchecked in spades,
So hinders this unknown in fire,
Yet feral dragons circle in flight
As hawks about to feed of every life.

Battle hammers rose in just defence

Fall forth in darkly hushing sounds of night

On wings of dragons threshing, howling winds

A scream unearthly cries.

this poem reminds me of lord of the rings, that constant battle between good and evil, the ultimate moral conflict i spose we all face. I really like the fact with the dragon you feel as if you are watching this battle from above with a superiority, kinda god like i guess, really good poem, creating vivid images in my head

This as a metaphoric verse reveals for me the strong gusty winds of a Winter's icy cold storm.Howling winds do seem to scream and unnerve in dread. As taken as a fantasy describing the darkness fearful and the shattering frightful scream of a beasty dragon,it conjures many senerios seen.Nice work.
